Day 1, Athens
Arrive in Athens, capital of Greece also one of the world’s oldest cities. You are required to reach Hotel on your own (OR you may request us to arrange the same at an extra cost). You will be at leisure for rest of the day so that you can relax after your long haul flight. In the evening, you will have an opportunity to meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.
Day 2, Athens
Full day is free to explore the ancient city of Athens on your own. Vsit one of the museums or stroll through the Plaka district or see an Island life from the cruise ship.
Day 3, Athens – Corinth – Epidaurus – Nauplia
Start your day with the guided tour of Athens, with a visit to the Acropolis. Next, cross the Corinth Canal and drive into the Argolis to stop in Epidaurus, located in the hilly countryside dotted with pine trees and oleanders. Later, visit the ancient open air theater that can still seat 14,000 spectators. Proceed to Nauplia, the seaport town of Peloponnese, at the head of Gulf of Agrolis.
Day 4, Nauplia – Mycenae – Sparta
Proceed for an excursion to the archaeological site and the Museum of Mycenae, a city fortress cursed by the gods but rich in gold and warrior kings. Later you will be driven to Sparta, one of the most important Greek city-states throughout the Archaic and Classical periods.
Day 5, Sparta – Mystra – Olympia
After breakfast, proceed to Mystra, the best preserved example of medieval walled town. Enjoy the sightseeing of the medieval Byzantine Citadel of Mystra, one of the most exciting and dramatic historic sites. Continue to Olympia, one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece.
Day 6, Olympia – Patras – Delphi
The morning is free for you to explore the city on your own or you may opt to learn more about the history of the Olympic Games on the optional sightseeing tour. Later, drive north to Patras, the capital of the Peloponnese and the west coast’s largest port. Continue your journey via the spectacular Rion-Antirion Bridge through the picturesque fishing villages along the south coast of the mainland to mystical Delphi
Day 7, Delphi – Kalambaka
Delphi, lying on the slopes of Mount Parnassus high above the Gulf of Corinth is one of the most important sites in Greece. The morning is free for you to explore the city on your own. Continue to Kalambaka, located in the north-west of the Thessaly region in Greece.
Day 8, Kalambaka – Meteora – Athens
Drive to Meteora for a trip that offers the unique experience of nature’s grandeur in conjunction with history, architecture and man’s everlasting desire to connect with the Divine. Later, drive south to Athens.
Day 9, Athens
A full day at leisure to explore the unseen parts of the capital city, do last-minute shopping or maybe relax at your Hotel.
Day 10, Athens – International Flight
Your exploration ends with the morning breakfast. You are required to reach Airport on your own (OR you may request us to arrange the same at an extra cost).
