Day 1, Rome
Arrive in Rome, Italy’s capital, where traveller’s from around the World come to admire the treasures and masterpieces of Roman art and architecture. You are required to reach Hotel on your own (OR you may request us to arrange the same at an extra cost). You will be at leisure for rest of the day so that you can relax after your long haul flight. In the evening, you will have an opportunity to meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.
Day 2, Rome
The “Eternal City” is steeped in history, vibrantly alive and exciting, one of the worlds most romantic and inspiring cities. Enjoy a guided tour and learn about various sites such as St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia and Campidoglio.
Day 3, Rome – Pisa – Florence Area
We start the day with scenic drive passing by vineyards, hills, olive orchards and charismatic villages to reach into the heart of Tuscany. You will enjoy a brief stop at Pisa, a harmonious urban composition to see its Square of Miracles and the amazing Leaning Tower, standing at 60 meters as piazza’s crowning glory before heading east to magnificent Florence.
Day 4, Florence
Enjoy a guided excursion of Florence, a place to feast on world class art and Gourmet Tuscan cuisine. Witness Piazza Santa Croce; beautiful Piazza Signoria; Palazzo Vecchio and its courtyard; Loggia dei Lanzi; and, to top it all, Piazza del Duomo and its cathedral with the Giotto Campanile, and the magnificent East Door of the Baptistry, known as the “Gate of Paradise.”
Day 5, Florence Area – Verona – Venice Area
Travel north and cross the Po River to fabled Verona, setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. See Juliet’s balcony—and be sure to rub the shining breast on her statue for good luck! Also, marvel at the ancient Roman Amphitheater, where gladiators used to fight. Built in the 1st century AD, it is now a popular venue for the world-famous opera festival and other well-known artists’ performances. Continue to the Venice area for two overnights.
Day 6, Venice
Venice is more like a stunning film set than a real-life city, with its criss-crossing canals, gondolas and water buses, arched bridges, palaces, and quiet piazzas. The included orientation starts with a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square and is followed by time at leisure on Venice Island that is renowned for glass-making.
Day 7, Venice – International Flight
Your exploration ends with the morning breakfast. You are required to reach Airport on your own (OR you may request us to arrange the same at an extra cost).
